Fairway Number One

Fair Havens starts with this imposing par five. The green is reachable in two, but few golfers have the confidence here to step up and really swing away. The fairway is narrow and densely lined in trees and brush. Often number one is played on a lay up and most on their first round here at Fair Havens just hope for par.

You want to start here with a long drive up the right side of the fairway, landing near the up side of this large green is highly desirable. Your second shot you're going to want to shoot for the back of this foreward sloped green, any lower and you have a shot of rolling back the way you came.
